Thank you so much for organizing our accommodation at the GUEST HOUSE on Fairview Avenue, Seattle.
It has everything we need, including a little private courtyard and VERY COMFORTABLE bed.
The host was very friendly and informative, and wanted to make sure our stay was a happy one....and it surely is.
What a peaceful, restful space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, brief as it was. Taking a walk this morning along the lake we saw a bald eagle perched high on a pier...just checking out the scenery, I'm sure.
Especially loved the waterfall - we left the slider open a little so we could listen to it as we fell asleep. Comfy bed, by the way.
We try to make these visits back to the PNW an annual event. So will definitely keep your place in mind as the "go-to" spot.
We very much enjoyed (a sunny and wonderful way) in this lovely guest room. Cozy, clean and nice. All was perfect for us (except that we lost our room key, sorry..)._ Thanks to very kind and friendly owners for their help and willingness. We hope to come back!
Great spot to meet with family, enjoy the lake and kayak with the sea planes!
Thanks for having such a wonderful spot available for those from out of the area!
Great beginning to our vacation ----
Cheers!
Thank you for being so friendly and welcoming! The
Guest Room is very comfortable and we had everything
we needed for our stay.
Great location and close to some great restaurants with
beautiful views of Lake Union.
Thank you for letting us use your balcony to watch the fireworks.
It made for a perfect 4th of July.
Take care. I will let others know about your Guest Room!
We had a pleasant stay for 2 nights in late June and were very happy that the room had air-conditioning, which was very welcome in the heat wave. The ad doesn't mention this, but is should! The bed was very comfortable and the room was very well stocked with linens and kitchen dishes. The bathroom and bedside lighting was very good.
We felt that the description of the unit being a "living room" was somewhat misleading as the unit is one room that includes both the bed and seating area, along with a walk-in closet that contains the mini kitchen and the separate bathroom. The picture of the park bench facing the water is also misleading as the unit does not face the water, but the back of the street. Perhaps the bench is located at one of the public access points to the water.
At night, the lighting approaching the entrance needs adjusting, as it comes on too late to illuminate the walkway. The stepping stones leading to the patio were a bit unstable, and in the dark were a tripping hazard. While visually appealing, the entrance could be safer.
We would have enjoyed lounging on the patio, but there was only 1 chair.
Walking in the area was lovely, and there is a charming grocery store a couple of blocks away with an amazing wine selection. Wine glasses and the corkscrew in the room were very great idea!
What a great bed, we had a lovely night’s sleep. This is such a neat and convenient guest room. We loved every thing about it.
I even went swimming in Lake Union at the Park across the street. What a delight that was since I swim daily at home.
Another wonderful stay at the Guest Room four years in a row now every year this cozy retreat is my home away from home.
Loved Pete’s Super Market down the street and the “Sweet Chicken sandwiches, the walks around the lake, and the terrific sunsets. Although I never got a chance to sit on the patio I enjoyed the roses in bloom.
Will be back next year and will try to stay longer next time.
Thank you so for having such great accommodations! We absolutely loved this place and will certainly be returning vacationers as well as tell EVERYONE we know looking for an awesome central location!
Thanks for the lovely guest room. We are from California. This is a summer camp trip for our daughter at Japanese Suzuk:
InstItute for violin training.
We took violin lessons, practiced orchestra and performed recitals. We enjoyed the electric boat on Lake Union, all the
nice restaurants in the neighborhood and Fremont.
Every night it was so nice to come back to this cozy place to lie down and fall into sleep so quickly.
Look forward to visiting Seattle in the future.
Truly enjoyed our stay
